Made for the woman who dresses first for herself.

Nuit Velours is the slow project of an unusually patient atelier, a record of what we believe lingerie can be.

How the house began

We started Nuit Velours because the lingerie we wanted didn't exist. Pieces that felt like nothing on the body. Patterns drafted for the way real women are shaped, not the way a fit dummy is shaped. Colours that were chosen, not defaulted to.

We are a small team. We design every piece by hand, sample it on a dozen bodies before approving it, and refuse to sell anything we wouldn't ourselves wear for ten years. The pace is slow on purpose.

What we draw on

Our reference points sit between the editorial and the architectural: the photography of Sarah Moon and Paolo Roversi, the lacework of Calais, the unhurried sartoria of Italian masters, the colour discipline of a perfumer.

We make pieces that earn their place over years, not seasons. There are no trend-driven drops. The Lace movement we release in 2026 will still be in the catalogue in 2036.

Where the work is done

Every piece is cut and stitched in our Italian atelier, by hands that have done this work for decades. The cloth is chosen in Como. The lace, in Calais. The cucitura (the seam, the spine of any well-made garment) is set by a single fitter in Italy who signs off on every drop before it leaves.

We do not chase volume. We chase the right relationship between you, the piece, the hours you wear it in, and the makers whose work you carry.
